Five Critical Questions

When I start with a new life coaching client, there are five critical questions that I have to know the answers to before we can proceed with coaching.  They set the stage as to what needs to be addressed and/or where the client is coming from when I am trying to help them with something.

I want to share these with you as a self-evaluation tool.  This is not a test but just to see where you in your thinking at this stage of your life.  Ready?  I promise it won’t hurt a bit…um, well, maybe a little sting here or there.

1.  How do you know that you are a Christian?

2.  What are some characteristics of God that you believe are absolutely true?

3.  What do you believe you were created for?

4.  What do you want your legacy to be?

5.  What is burning in your heart that you want to accomplish?

I will be doing a follow-up post on these to help you dig deeper if you are stuck and need help moving forward in any area.  Look at it as kind of a mini-coaching session!

If you are comfortable, post the answers to one or more of these questions below or you can post a request for me to email you for your answers.  For those that give me permission, I will use some of your answers as examples (anonymously of course!).

I know that I know I am a Christian because I had deep and powerful encounter with Jesus on Aug 21, 2004. My life has never been the same. He became a consuming force in my life.
I believe God is all powerful. His healing power is for today as it was in Jesus’ days. I believe He is true to His Word. His WORD is power and it will never come back void. He will not only stand with me, but He will stand and fight for me.

I believe I was created to serve and worship God. To return honor to God in all that I do.

I want people to know I am woman who stands on the TRUTH of the WORD of GOD. That I am filled with the Spirit of God and I am an unmovable force and I plan to stand. That the war between good and evil is won on our knees in prayer.

I burn with passion that everyone will know the truth of REVIVAL and the everyone deserves the chance to come into the presence of the Living God and experience His true power and presence. Everything chances in the presence of the Living God.

Just visiting from a post on Sarah Mae’s site, maybe on Titus 2 women? Very thought provoking questions you’ve posted here! I’d be afraid to dive in as there are so many things I want to accomplish, but we are held back financially to make those things happen (quit work, stay home with the kids, etc).

    Hi Allie!
Thanks for coming over to read and for posting your comment!
I understand what you mean about finances being an issue. One thing you can do is focus on one issue and only one. Next week I will be posting about some things you can do on your own to help move yourself along.
    Thanks again for stopping by!
    Tara
